VASCD and Virginia Ed Strategies are teaming up for our 2nd annual Work-Based Learning Conference!

Join school and division leaders from all across the Commonwealth to learn, share, and explore best practices with regards to WBL, CCCRI, and pathways initiatives to further develop the current models in Virginia and expand into all content areas, beyond CTE!

This experience is perfect for Work-Based Learning Coordinators and School Leaders, including principals, assistant/associate principals, and supervising administrators of work-based learning programs in schools.

Intended Outcomes:

  • Deepen understanding of the College, Career, and Civic Readiness Index including components, requirements, and accreditation indicator
  • Develop skills for networking with business partners and community leaders
  • Strengthen your division or school plan for implementation
  • Create a roadmap for building faculty and staff understanding and capacity for implementation
  • Network with educators in similar roles throughout the Commonwealth

Our Keynote Speakers

Becca Silver

Becca Silver is the founder and CEO of The Whole Educator and host of the podcast Coaching the Whole Educator. She is a highly energetic and knowledgeable trainer who approaches leadership development with coaching skills and strategies that get at the root cause of ineffectiveness and burnout. Her passion lies in fostering teacher buy-in and reducing resistance to change. Becca is a former educator, instructional coach, life coach and executive leadership coach. Currently, she consults nationally and internationally working with instructional coaches and all levels of school, district and state-wide leadership. Her work focuses on utilizing human-centered coaching (versus task-centered coaching) to help coaches and leaders better support teachers, breaking through resistance, empowering teachers to get unstuck and growing mutual engagement in coaching.
